Custom & Import Tax

1. Who is responsible for paying duties and taxes for international shipments?

For international orders, the recipient of the package (Consignee) is responsible for any duties and import taxes due upon delivery. These fees are not calculated or charged at the time of purchase from our store and must be paid directly to customs when you receive your order.

2. How much do I need to pay for the import duty?

The amount of customs duty varies from country to country and depends on the tariff policies of the recipient country. Please note that our shipping options include USPS First Class for international shipments, and the customs duty amount will vary based on your country’s customs regulations.

For packages shipped via USPS First Class, we generally declare an invoice value between $20 USD and $150 USD and mark the package as a gift. This practice helps to minimize the import duty charged by customs, though it is ultimately up to your country’s tariff policy.

3. How can we help reduce your import tax?

If you have specific requirements for the declared value of the invoice, please contact us at service@purefiltertech.com. We will adjust the declared value according to your instructions. If no specific instructions are provided, we typically declare the value between $20 USD and $150 USD, depending on the weight and size of the package.

4. What will we do if your package encounters customs clearance issues?

If your package encounters any customs clearance issues, we will cover the customs clearance fees and provide you with the shipping invoice, which you will need to present to customs. Additionally, we will assist you by contacting USPS to help resolve the situation.
